soft cover books

Soft or paper covers, lend themselves to shorter and cheaper books.  This category includes  “Chap” books which originated in Medieval Europe, and often featured recipes, religions sayings, or ballads.  A Zine is usually a self-published, small circulation  book which became increasingly popular in the 1930’s and remains so today.
