Most of us are familiar with books, an object that has two cardboard like covers and written pages between those covers.  But even the classic book can be conceived as a work of art in itself rather than just something to read.   Artists may incorporate typography, papermaking, paper engineering, design, fine art, graphics, creative writing, and digital media into their books.
